when the pain made me burn it all down
I woke up all in tears
in a snow-covered land
that let me alone with my grief
but I found the will to keep on
and walked the path of ice
far towards the unknown
deep inside my mind
breath by breath I fought my way
through the freezing void
the whiteout around me made me all blind
and took all senses from me
But finally the view cleared up
and the sight made my bones shake:
a stone as black as the darkest of nights
above the vast wide world!
high as the faith!
strong as the will!
deep as the soul!
Nunatak!
a giants spear made of obsidian to kill the gods
rammed from deep inside the earth towards heaven above
but the hand that once led is forgotten and cold
and the mind beyond keeps it's legend untold
The beauty of this place was lost for so long
until my journey made me came upon...
...this stone
This allmighty nunatak was always inside me
The faith, the will, the soul: all parts of me
This will be my castle, this will be my a throne
this will be everything that I want to own
The beauty of this place will be mine from now on
the journey inside me made me realize ...
... my stone
I made my way through blizzard storms,
through coldest winds and freezing thorns
I swam through rivers black from ice
and climbed the mountains where coldness bites
I made it all to finally
see the Nunatak rise up in me
This is the end of all days
the beginning of a new fate
I stretch my hand and reach the stone
and feel his meaning down my bone
a monument built out of dreams
that have lasted the void in me
it's pure, it's real, it's what I am
it's everything I have become
this is the end of all days
the beginning of a new dawn
I take a breath and look around
and see black spears crushing the ground
an endless range of nunatakr
breaking through the frosted earth
The pitch black needles carve their way
born by souls that keep to stay
I take my place among them on my throne
above this glacial world!
a stone ... above this glacial world!
